Moving to study at the University of Tasmania in Hobart was very last minute for me. When I arrived the people at Jane were very welcoming and supportive. At Jane my friends are now like family to me.
Jane is great because all your bills are taken care of and you don't have to cook. You get three meals a day at Jane, and snacks though the day during exams to help you stay focused on what’s important. At Jane you don't even have to do the dishes!
Jane really supported me academically. The additional tutorials offered, helped ensure that I succeeded in my studies. I’ve also now gone on to tutor those very same subjects for students in first year at University. I'm a passionate guy. I love soccer and at Jane I was able to play for the College. We've won soccer for 29 years straight and it's great to be a part of that. Being at Jane also gave me the opportunity for student leadership. Jane meant I got more than an education, it gave me the opportunity to be part of a community that groomed me into a better individual and has given me a real kick-start in life.
